Refund Policy for Vendors on Olubrooklyn Foods Marketplace

At Olubrooklyn Foods Marketplace, we strive to ensure satisfaction for all buyers while maintaining fairness for our vendors. As a food marketplace, certain limitations apply to refund requests due to the nature of the products we handle. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be processed and the responsibilities of both vendors and buyers.

1. General Refund Policy Guidelines

As we deal with perishable goods and food products, refunds will only be granted in specific cases where the issue with the product is visible, verifiable, and falls within the terms below: 

– Refunds are not guaranteed for dissatisfaction related to taste, preference, or packaging aesthetics. 

– Buyers are encouraged to review product descriptions, images, and specifications carefully before placing orders.

2. Circumstances Where Refunds May Be Accepted

a. Expired Products:

– If a product arrives expired or spoiled, and it was visibly expired at the time of order delivery, the buyer is eligible for a refund or replacement. Proof must be provided (see Section 4). 

b. Incorrect or Missing Products: 

– If the buyer receives the wrong product or part of their order is missing, a refund or replacement may be offered after confirmation. 

c. Damaged During Delivery: 

– Products that are damaged during shipping and rendered unfit for consumption will be eligible for a refund. Buyers must report the issue immediately upon receiving the product (see Section 4).

3. Limitations to Refunds 

Refunds will not be processed under the following conditions: 

– If the buyer decides they no longer want the product after it has been delivered. 

– Complaints about the product’s taste, texture, or general quality if it was properly stored and not expired. 

– For perishable products that were not stored correctly by the buyer after delivery, causing spoilage. 

– If the buyer fails to notify the vendor or Olubrooklyn Foods within the refund window (see Section 4).

4. Refund Process

a. Reporting the Issue: 

– Buyers must report issues within 24 hours of delivery for perishable products. 

– Proof of the issue (clear photos or videos of the product, packaging, and expiration date, if applicable) must be submitted to both the vendor and Olubrooklyn Foods support team. 

b. Vendor Review and Resolution: 

– Vendors are responsible for reviewing refund requests promptly. 

– If a vendor disputes the claim, Olubrooklyn Foods will mediate and make the final decision based on the evidence provided. 

c. Refund Methods: 

– Approved refunds will be processed using the buyer’s original payment method. 

– Refunds will be issued within 7–10 business days after approval.

5. Vendor Responsibilities  

Vendors are expected to: 

– Provide accurate product descriptions and expiration dates. 

– Ensure products are fresh, properly packaged, and in good condition when shipped. 

– Respond to refund requests within 48 hours and cooperate with the Olubrooklyn Foods support team for dispute resolution.

6. Buyer Responsibilities 

Buyers are expected to: 

– Review the products immediately upon delivery. 

– Report issues promptly and provide clear evidence to support their refund claim. 

– Store perishable products properly after delivery to avoid spoilage.

7. Dispute Resolution 

If a refund request leads to a dispute between the buyer and the vendor, Olubrooklyn Foods will act as a neutral mediator. Our decision will be final and based on the evidence submitted by both parties.

8. Changes to This Refund Policy 

Olubrooklyn Foods reserves the right to update this Refund Policy as needed. Any changes will be communicated to vendors and buyers through our platform.
